What is the Child Study Team? The Child Study Team (CST) enables school personnel to meet on a weekly basis to discuss, monitor, and review the needs of individual children who are having difficulty within the educational setting. It's focus as a team is child-centered and facilitates a process that results in the implementation of accommodations, services, and interventions that enable the student to be successful in school.
What is the responsibility of the Child Study Team? The CST has the responsibility to: - Review any problems (academic, developmental, behavioral, social/ emotional) interferring with the child's performance in school. - Consider and create solutions. - Make recommendations to meet the student's needs. - Monitor and review results of the recommendations.
